What is Warranty Extension?
Warranty Extension is an offering provided by LEX Services Inc., in cooperation with authorized dealers, through which customers can purchase a Warranty Extension contract for eligible appliances and gadgets. The coverage for Warranty Extension is the same as the original manufacturer’s warranty, extending for up to 2 years beyond the original warranty.

Why should I avail of a Warranty Extension? What are the benefits?
Getting an extended warranty adds an extra layer of security and peace of mind for an appliance/gadget bought from LEX Services Inc. partner stores/dealers. When you avail of a Warranty Extension contract, you get up to 2 additional years of warranty coverage on top of the original manufacturer’s warranty, helping to prolong the life of your unit. What are the options for Warranty Extension for my purchased appliance/gadget?
LEX Services Inc. (LEX) offers (3) main products:

  1. Extended Warranty for Big Appliances and Gadgets –This is the standard one (1) to two (2)-year warranty extension available for airconditioners, washing machines, DVD players, home theaters, speakers and soundbars, LED and Smart TVs, refrigerators, microwave ovens, ovens, ranges, rangehoods, hobs, water dispensers, videoke machines, gaming consoles, earphones and headphones, mobile phones, and laptops.

    You may check with your preferred dealer regarding the different LEX products available for your chosen appliances and gadgets.

  2. Small Appliances Replacement Plan –This plan offers the customer a one (1)-time replacement for their purchased small appliance in case of electrical or mechanical failure due to manufacturing defect, or other causes covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Coverage starts after the (1)-year original manufacturer’s warranty and will last for (1) year as well.
    1. Unit must have a (1)-year Manufacturer’s Warranty
    2. Appliance price must be within Php 10,000

  3. Gadget Guard –This is a Warranty Extension plan for mobile phones and tablets, which also provides free (1)-year accidental damage, including liquid damage, (ADLD) coverage during the original manufacturer’s warranty coverage period
    1. Unit must have at least a (1)-year Manufacturer’s Warranty
    2. ADLD coverage STARTS IMMEDIATELY upon purchase of the gadget

What is covered by a LEX Warranty Extension contract?
LEX Services Inc. (LEX) offers extended warranties that generally have the same coverage as your appliance/gadget original manufacturer’s warranty. Exclusions include but are not limited to: cleaning, accidental breakdowns (except if under Gadget Guard accidental damage coverage), expired contracts, accessories or certain consumable parts (windshields, batteries, filters and bulbs, etc.), tampered units (repair by unauthorized service center or personnel), external causes (corrosion, rusting, etc.), cosmetic defects, commercial/business use, misuse, costs in excess of the unit price.

What modes of payment does LEX accept for contracts?
LEX Services Inc. (LEX) Warranty Extension contracts may be purchased via cash, credit card, and e-wallet payments (in select stores/branches) at partner appliance/gadget stores. Financing options are also available in select stores/branches.

I was told I would receive my LEX Warranty Extension contract electronically. Where can I find a copy?
For stores making use of LEX Services Inc. (LEX) e-contracts, you will receive your full LEX Warranty Extension contract through your nominated e-mail address. (You will also receive your LEX Contract Number via SMS.)

You may download a copy of your contract by inputting your LEX Contract Number and Last Name at lexservices.ph/MyContract/. If you do not receive a text or e-mail confirmation, within one (1) Business Day from the date you purchased your LEX contract, or cannot get a copy via the LEX website, you may request for a copy of your contract by contacting LEX at:

Can I still buy a LEX contract even after the date I purchased my appliance/gadget?
Generally, customers can come back within seven (7) days from the initial date they purchased their appliance/gadget to avail of a LEX Services Inc. (LEX) Warranty Extension contract. But please confirm with the store you purchased the appliance/gadget from if this can be accommodated, as different stores may have varying policies on this.

Additionally, you may avail of a LEX contract via the LEX website at buy.lexservices.ph even after the actual transaction at the store. Simply input the details of your purchased product and upload a photo of the receipt for the transaction.

Is it possible to cancel my LEX Warranty Extension contract?
A customer may choose to have his/her LEX Services Inc. (LEX) Warranty Extension contract canceled, with a refund for the contract price, within seven (7) days from the date the contract was purchased (or the store’s refund/cancellation period, whichever is shorter), provided no claim has been made, and subject to the terms and conditions in his/her contract.

To receive the refund, please go to the store where you purchased your contract, and surrender your original LEX contract (if applicable), official receipt/sales invoice, and any other documents required by the store. The store may provide the refund in cash or store credits, depending on its internal policy.

Is the LEX contract transferable if I give away or sell my appliance/gadget?
In cases where there is a change in ownership of the appliance/gadget that the LEX contract was purchased for, the said contract can still be considered valid as long as the LEX coverage/extended warranty period has not yet ended, or the LEX coverage amount has not been completely used up/claimed. You just need to advise the LEX team of the changes in the customer details within fifteen (15) days.

What should I do if my appliance/gadget breaks down during the LEX coverage period?

    4. The LEX Claims Team operates from Mondays to Fridays (excluding holidays), 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

  2. Make sure to keep a copy of your LEX contract and official receipt/sales invoice (and delivery receipt/waybill, if applicable) from the store you purchased your contract and/or appliance/gadget official receipt/sales invoice from.

  3. You will, then, be instructed by the LEX Claims Team about the service center where you can bring your unit to, or about arranging a home visit by the technician (for select appliances).

When should I inform LEX about my appliance/gadget’s breakdown?
In cases of appliance/gadget breakdown under the standard extended warranty, or Small Appliances Replacement Plan (SARP), the customer must notify LEX Services Inc. within (15) calendar days from when the breakdown occurred.

For claims pertaining to accidental damage or liquid damage under Gadget Guard contracts, the customer must inform LEX of the breakdown within forty-eight (48) hours from the time the event which caused the breakdown happened.

LEX has the right to disapprove claims if a customer does not immediately provide notice. This is because damage to appliances/gadgets may become more severe if not repaired immediately. To be on the safe side, kindly inform LEX of any appliance/gadget breakdown as soon as possible.

Can I still have my appliance/gadget repaired even if I misplaced my contract?
In case you misplace your LEX contract, you may download a copy via lexservices.ph/MyContract/. Simply input your LEX contract number and last name in the fields within the website.

Should you encounter any difficulty in getting a copy of your contract, or forgot/lost your contract details, you may email LEX at [email protected] so that a LEX representative may assist you.

Do I need to pay extra for repairs? How much will my LEX contract cover?
The coverage for repairs of a LEX extended warranty is the same as the price you paid for the appliance or gadget at the store, subject to the Terms and Conditions at the back of your LEX contract.

Note that:
  • You will be responsible for settling any excess labor, parts, or services fees incurred during a claim that go above the price you paid for the appliance or gadget at the store.
  • You will also be liable for settling transport, check-up, and other related fees which are not covered under the original manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Free on-site repair shall only be available if it is covered/provided under the original manufacturer’s warranty.

How long do product repairs under a LEX Warranty Extension normally take?
Repair times can differ depending on a multitude of reasons (including but not limited to: brand, type of product, where the product was purchased, etc.)

Rest assured that Lex Services Inc. only works with authorized dealers and service centers, to ensure that you get the best possible service. We will also give regular updates when available so that you are always aware of the progress of repairs.

LEX Services Inc. (LEX) a is company that provides extended warranties, and is not associated with courier/ logistics/tracking services for Lazada.

However, if you purchased an appliance or gadget through a LEX-authorized Lazada dealer, we encourage you to have it covered by a LEX Warranty Extension. You may purchase a LEX contract for it at buy.lexservices.ph.
